Cinemalaya, the Philippine Independent Film Festival is an annual event scheduled in the month of July. This year, the fest runs from the 15th to the 24th in the Cultural Center of the Philippines and in Greenbelt 3.
Why watch independent films in Cinemalaya? Here are ten reasons.

Regular screening costs 150 pesos, 75 pesos for students and faculties while a 20% discount for senior citizens, government employees, and military officials. Just don’t forget your identification cards. Tickets are available at the venue. It’s exclusive because you just can’t buy copies of the movies on pirates.
